SKETCH CONCEPT PLAN FOR A SENSORY GARDEN AT A NURSERY SCHOOL FOR CHILDREN WITH SPECIAL NEEDS

BEFORE - a narrow exposed space dominated by a shed.

AFTER - on the single-storey wall, exposed by the removal of the shed, is the focal point of the garden - a 'Little Ig' water feature (available from Croft Studios). The children can "play" with the stream of water splashing down onto cobbles.

The rough leaves of Humulus lupulus 'Aureus' are gradually covering the trellis, and lower down other tactile leaves and scented flowers contrast with the textures of wood, gravel and cobbles.
